They depend on sub contractors" and you posted a picture of the back of a contractors van, with the name "Julio" on it, that's all I need to know, I'm Mexican/American, I grew up in Texas in the 70's and 80's and have had to deal with people like the ones on here commenting my entire life, no one pizzed in my Wheaties, I have had people try to claim that restaurants hire through subcontractors, which simply isn't true.

I'm mainly talking about restaurants and hotels, which I worked in previously for 14+ years, I can 100% tell you that restaurants and hotels don't hire subcontractors, like I said, I worked in the restaurant and hotel industry, so if you want to try and claim that they use subcontractors to hire workers, go ahead, but I know it doesn't happen.

I spent a lot of time working in restaurants and hotels too. Cook, bartender, manager. We didn't hire subcontractors... and at least whenever I was involved in hiring... we followed the rules about confirming that applicants could legally work for us.

I knew the numbers might be huge here in West LA but woweeee.....there is a huge drop in traffic, people outside, people at Ross, Target etc. surprised me more then I had anticipated impact wise. ALL of the taco stands set up on the streets, everywhere, often right in front of a brick and mortar Taco Shop that pays big rent, health dept issues, employees, etc and is run for years by longer 'officially sanctioned, welcomed hispanic residents. I think this month has been more quiet then the last month. Traffic is SO much lighter, street parking and on and on.

Yeah even out on the far East Side it's crazy how thing's changed so fast. It's like a million people self deported or left
