Oops, that guy's on ignore.

Do you have any expectation that the appraisers completing these hybrid assignments will have geographic competence? Are the GSE's planning to accept assignments completed by appraisers several states away?
Judging by the lack of response to the questions above which posed to Justin a couple of days ago it would seem that the answer to the last part just might be "yes".

Hybrid appraisals can speed up the lending process? I have two on my desk right now that are delayed by the agents or lenders. One ordered 10/02 with a follow up email not to inspect until after 10/09. Then, why did they order it on 10/02? Then on 10/03, an order that I set up for 10/06 that got approved but followed up with an email from the agent stating to please wait until 10/09 or 10/10. Yet those turn time clocks keep ticking.

So, the hybrid inspector will not get to inspect until those dates and it will take a couple days to get to the real appraiser. How is that quicker for the lenders?

Back to fees, this is what’s happening in the real world outside of the echo chamber. Posted today in a FB group. Think the stories AMCs and GSEs are telling about making mucho-money completing hybrids are real?
