I am impressed!

I went to inspect a property this morning. When I got there the lady met me at the door in her pajama's. First thougth was, OK they forgot I was coming. Introduced myself and then she told me that they had changed their mind and the lender was supposed to have told me that had decided against the loan. OK, I thanked her and went on my way.

When I got back I emailed the lender, an AMC, and an hour later got an answer with and apology. Apparently someone forgot to notify the AMC. But what impressed me was they wanted me to send them an invoice for my trip fee! I am impressed!

I'm sorry. Forgive me if I don't get it. What part of your time is worth zzz don't you get. Since when do you not charge for dry runs for whatever reason? If we all had standards on not only following USPAP but also normal business practices, we would ALL be that much above the poverty level. And no-one would have to vote for the local D for their handouts. Wouldn't it be wonderful...each man paid for his services and skills. What a concept: Right up there with "I had a dream..." As for me and mine...you bet: We do the research prior to showing up and we ALWAYS expect a fee. We are NOT in the "blue light special" business. They want discounts or freebies they just came to the wrong place. Have a great one. Paulette in Tx

Yep, those fees are expected, as I said once before-if you get in a cab & get to your destination and no ones there, does the cabby not charge you for his time :?: I think not & he/she doesn't even flintch PAY UP says he/she :x

The other post worthy and unexpected part is :!: THEY OFFERED :!: the trip fee rather than him having to :evil: demand :evil: same...
