I've noticed not very many posts from our TN group this week. I guess we are all busy trying to get caught up after the 4th.. My brain has hurt too much to really post after some of the appraisals that I have had to write up. :Eyecrazy: How about you guys?

Got slammed with FHA stuff then it came to a halt. Still working on a few but it's slowed. Guess I had a "spike" in business! Wish it'd last for at least 6 months so I could get caught up on my checking account.

Dean is here. Dean is trying to entertain his mom who is in town for ten days while trying to juggle appraisal orders, 3 kids and a muddy farm!
Picked up three orders yesterday, 3 today. Its never quiet when you need it to be, but, i feel bad complaining when many appraisers have no work.

As for the forum, ive been laying a little low. I read the main forums in disbelief sometimes. Theres so much B.S floating around up there that frankly its gets annoying. We all know that skippy is alive and well, but those of us with work are looked at through untrusting eyes.
If some of these people worked on sharpening their business skills, they too may be able to attract some good business, which is out there if you look hard enough.

Anyway, gotta go, taking the wife and mother out for a fancy meal followed by drinks, Wiill check in later.

It is scary slow for me right now. I have 1 full time +1 part time employee- both family. I have had 2 non. lender orders in the past week, which is nice -and one last week. Reading the main board last night was a mistake-doom and gloom. "future of residential is dead; etc. etc." I am remodeling our house (mudroom addition) and our first rental house so I'm nervous about my ability to earn right now. In the 15+ yrs I've been doing this, it has never seemed so uncertain but I'm not ready to shut down yet! Time to attain cont. ed hrs, etc.

Thats funny. The wife and i just took our first ever weekend away without the kids a few weeks ago. We booked into a great hotel, but when we went out to eat that night, we were so hungry and couldnt decide where to go. We got a little lost, and and after an hour of driving, we ended up in Shoneys! How pathetic, especially as we were all dressed up as well.
And it was seafood night. Whoo hooo.
The wife has made a point to tell everyone where i took her on our romantic weekend getaway.
