I've always done Mckissock in the past for CE (online) and have been happy with them.

However, Ifrec has a Fla. 30 hr bundle that is $50 less than Mckissock. Anybody have any experience with the one vs. the other? Edit to add: or how about Gold Coast - they are $50 less too.

$50 is a lot to me right now.

Call McKissock and tell them the IFREC rate on CE. They will beat their price to get your business. They beat IFREC by $25 for me.

I live in Central FL, too. I've never taken IFREC's course. The only ones I've taken were McKissock and Steve Williamson Real Estate Education Specialists, and I preferred Williamson's.

I've taken classes from all listed above with in classroom courses at IFREC and online with Mckissock. I like them both equally and it would depend on if I was going to sit in class or do CE online (online is my preference). I don't particularly like Steve Williamson so he can't have any more of my money. I did my broker license CE through Bert Rodgers.

Hate to say it... This thread is so similar to the many threads where the AMC's are going for the cheapest appraiser. You stated McKissock has a good product... you like their product... but for $50 less, you'll kick them out for an unknown newbie. Gotta love our industry (no, I don't work for McKissock, I just laugh about the similarities and how we always complain about the low fees from AMC's - same concept).

Thanks for the input.

The Sheriff - you have a good point & I do appreciate the irony (although my shopping based on cost is a little different than most appraisers). I am on my way out of this industry, which translates to only working part time plus paying for nursing school.

For the record, I ended up going with Gold Coast. Two reasons - #1 the cost. #2 - they had a course in the bundle that I'd not taken before and was interested in. and finally - #3 they are a Florida school. I've been on a kick to buy and support local when possible (of course, I realized Ifrec is closer, but it was too late by then. Oh well, at least the dollars were still in Fla.)

My remarks came off as condescending Wendy... they definitely weren't meant to be. I made the post late last night after a couple of beers after returning from watching my Nationals lose to the hapless Diamondbacks. Couldn't think of the word irony in my stupor.

No worries Sheriff. I'll have a couple of beers tonight in mourning for your team. :)

County your blessings there, Sheriff. If the Pirates were your team, you'd be an alcoholic now!

Try cheering for the Pirates for 18 years.

I had really cheap season tickets, 13 bucks a seat. I got in early before they built the new stadium. I found a place to park for free. 13 bucks, free parking, sounds like a great deal.

But to watch that team you have to spend at least 50 bucks on beer!
