Ifrec vs. Mckissock

So before I get hit with an infraction, Wendy, go with McKissock. I'm considering taking all my CE on-line with them for the next cycle.

What can I say, effective age is getting higher.

Just finished my 2010-2011 USPAP update with Mcckissock. $ 144. If you know your stuff you can finish it in 3+ hours. My wife just took it at a school, $ 75 for the book and $ 185. for the course and she had to sit there for 7 hours.....

My remarks came off as condescending Wendy... they definitely weren't meant to be. I made the post late last night after a couple of beers after returning from watching my Nationals lose to the hapless Diamondbacks. Couldn't think of the word irony in my stupor.

Ouch! Yeah, gone are the days of Schilling and Johnson and our purple uni's too. *sigh*
:new_all_coholic:
I have looked at a number of online CE courses and will probably go with McKissock too. Thanks to whoever posted the promo code, I hope it works.

The difference between an alcoholic and a drunk is ; a drunk doesn't have to go to all those aggravating meetings.
Does anyone know if AI accepts any tested courses for their SRA designation other than their own?
Their classes are few and far between.

Freshman- I do not believe they accept any tested courses from other education providers for a designation. However, most (but not all) courses needed for the SRA designation are now available online. I prefer live courses but since I am working towards the SRA, working full time+ running my business, and taking courses towards a CPA and a masters degree, the online courses are a necessity and I have found them to be adequate. Most require completion of cases studies and various other assignments which are turned in to the instructor and graded with feedback provided.

At first glance it looks like the SRA classes are the same as the CG classes. I'll get an SRA while I'm getting the CG. I'll look into the online classes. I too work and go to college trying to cultivate the craft.

I'm fairly sure that isn't the case.
Which SRA classes look like they could be used for commercial as well (that would be good to know if it were the case)?
