Independent Appraisers GSE/Cuomo Proposal 3/19/08
Good Morning!!
On behalf of the IVPI Organizing Committee Members, and the hundreds of Ethical Appraiser who have contributed their ideas, thoughts, and opinions during the past weeks and months, I wish to announce that the Formal Proposal and Business Plan attached was hand-delivered to the Offices of Andrew Cuomo, James B. Lockhart III, Daniel H. Mudd, and Richard F. Syron for their consideration and review.
The past systematic abuse, negligence, and unethical practices will not be eradicated without fundamental changes to the appraisal ordering process that establishes a shield that will enable truly independent and objective appraisals.
Revising the “status quo” without fundamental change will not accomplish the mission stated in the Cooperation Agreement.
By endorsing, authorizing, funding, and vocally supporting implementation of the IVPI Organizational Proposal dated March 17, 2008, the Parties to the NYAG/GSE Agreement have a rare opportunity to prove to Consumers and Investors that real and effective change can, and must, occur.
The Members of the IVPI Organizational Committee invite AF Members to email comments. Should you wish to lend your active support to this effort on behalf of ALL Residential Appraisers please EMAIL the suggested, editable, Form Letter attached below.
My thanks to all for your support and consideration.

Proposal and editable endorsement letter will follow.
