Indymac collapses

I just went out and stocked up on more food....more rice!

Beans are on sale by the way.

New Crop pintos in Dove Creek, CO will be out in October....

Rice is spensive as h e l l. Good brand baked beans in a gallon size can at Costco for $3.89). Next project: clean out big closet to make room for "hunker-down" supplies.

BTW, I can use reloads in place of fresh ammo, right? Dead is dead, so I don't see any reason to waste money on designer bullets!

Buy Gold

I think the economy is going down the tubes too. I'm taking all my cash and buying GOLD and keep it hidden in the house or a safe deposit box.

Schumer just hastened the process, but there is no way that Indymac could have survived the next two years anyway. No chance. With the number of REOs that they have right now, and the huge number coming, and the average dollar amount that they are losing on each REO, all of their cash would have been gobbled up in no time.
But more time would have created an opportunity to arrange a shutdown that was less costly to taxpayers than an FDIC takeover. Schumer's irresponsible actions eliminated choices and likely cost us millions of dollars of our tax money (which we don't have so it just adds to the debt so interest on that extra cost must be included in the harm caused too.) If the Senate were a private company, Schumer would be looking for a new job.

If the economy really is going to go down the tubes then even at this high price it should be a good investment. I'd recommend a safe. Something that is rated for theft or fire/theft but, not just fire. I've seen some very disturbing safe cracking videos on youtube with those fire safes, since I'm looking at getting a safe for the house.

Like I said,...Pintos in Dove Creek. You can get 50# bags. Why buy canned when you can boil your own water over a fire made from old appraisal records?....And they keep popcorn, Mexican black beans, Anasazi (a sort of Pinto bean on steroids), as well as a host of other bean products..

Now. to build a rabbit trap you'll need.....

Funny, how months before, they began to ration beans and rice? Are we reading the signs correctly, or are we just crazy appraisers?
