On June 19th the ASFMRA will be hosting their annual spring conference. It will be in Ottawa, OH which is 20 miles due west of Findlay.
Cost is $25 for members and $50 for non members & includes lunch.
9:30 - 3:30
Conference will focus on Bio-energy & its emerging impact on agriculture profitability & land values. Keynote speaker will be Don Cochran of Great Lakes Wind LLC on the topic of wind energy in Ohio. Also personnel from the Department of Ag, environment and Development Economics will discuss commodity markets, biofuels, land values & rent.
The afternoon portion is a tour of POET Biorefining - Leipsic which is 8 miles from the location of the conference. This is a new state of the art ethanol production facility & will produce 68 million gallons of ethanol annually.
You must register prior to June 6th. (The letter I got said fees can be paid at the conference.)
I'm just a plain ole residential appraiser and not a member of ASFMRA. IMO the Ohio chapter has always had excellent and very interesting seminars/conferences (+ great food). I have never regretted attending one of their get togethers.
If you want more details you can send a fax to Barry Ward at 614-292-0078.
