Interesting Read on What 'May' Happen in the Appraisal World under the New Administration

"The recent expansion of appraisal waiver eligibility likely does not sit well with those poised to take on leadership roles in the next Trump administration, as it underscores creep from the GSEs missions."

“Immediately end the Biden Administration’s Property Appraisal and Valuation Equity (PAVE) policies and reverse any Biden Administration actions that threaten to undermine the integrity of real estate appraisals.”

Sounds good.
Surprisingly some on this forum like the last administration gutting the profession.

PAVE better be dissolved...or Trump's new name will be mud

From my first day as an appraier traniee the first week of Jan. 2001, appraisers have ALWAYS been getting the short end of the stick, hardly any changes have been in favor or with the apraiser in mind and NONE of it really has to do with any administration or who the President is.

Perhaps not every appraiser would agree that during covid lockdowns, appraisal services were exempt, and being allowed to work meant not being locked inside and getting the short stick end.

Didn’t read it. Why? Because I have been appraising since the 1st year of Clinton and I have been told I will be obsolete in 2 months.

Trump has not been inaugurated yet. I live in MA and any influence on my business is based on the MA market. My age and blood pressure are too high to worry about tomorrow. Trump will influence down the road.

I don't consider being able to work during COVID anything like the HVCC. I am speaking of more permanate changes, I do not consider being able to do what I was ALREADY doing anything out of the ordinary, but that's just my opinion and I was also never "locked inside" as I was free to go pretty much anywhere outside, I worked, went shopping went on trips, I did ALL kinds of things during COVID, if you and others didn't, that was your choice.

I suspect that there are trump supporters and republican donors in general with financial interest in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. So I wouldn't count on anything happening in appraisal world that makes it harder for them to make money after they get privatized.

Fixed it.

The Biden administration and fake media have used the race issue to foment division. That was their intent (IMO). DT's administration should help alleviate much of that made up animosity through dissolution of PAVE and other DEI measures.
AF system constraint prevents a reader from expressing more than one "Like" . . . kinda like the underlying reason that the popular vote favored Republicans, because dems were unable to vote more than once per person @@@@@@@@@
