Intimidation....I will NOT be silenced

Where did you post/make known your criticism....

You're arguing a point I never made. Of course Solidifi can remove me. My issue is them playing compliance police because I criticized another AMC. They don't have to keep me on their panel, and I don't have to shut up to stay on it. That's the point.
It seems to me that "can remove me" and "Compliance Police" mean the same thing when it comes to business relationships.

We have a whole subsection on this forum where appraisers are swapping intel on the lenders and AMCs they do business with, including warnings on which to avoid. Why would anyone think the lenders and AMCs would do any differently when it comes to appraisers?

Please support the poster, Mr. Samnick, by purchasing his book on Amazon:

"They came for the appraisers first. Tomorrow it could be you.

MEIN COMP: The Last Appraiser exposes how one hundred twenty thousand independent professionals were wiped out by corporate greed, government compliance, and algorithms disguised as progress. Fact wrapped in fiction, it tells the story of appraisers who fought back against middlemen, scapegoating, and machine driven control only to be silenced banned or broken."

Edit: The OP wrote the book last year.

AMC's are not consumers. They are a business. The appraisers, if engaged as a fee appraiser, are independent contractors.
So, what do you think would happen if an independent subcontractor on a project publicly "bad mouthed" the general contractor

The free speech crowd is all in when it is an AMC threatening an independent contractor for expressing their free speech.
The appraiser apparently did not even mention this particular client. They were expressing their thoughts on AMCs in general and mentioned two other AMC;s by name.

Companies often make an employer sign an NDA agreement. Which is why we hear nothing from AMC staff appraisers. It is not surprising they tried this type of muzzling on an independent appraiser.

Compliance is supposed to be about the professional product. Did the appraiser meet standards? Did they violate USPAP, etc.

An appraiser chatting on a BB or social media as a person in their free time -how can a company demand compliance about what an independent contractor does in their personal time? He did not directly slander this company, per their post.

Are you for free speech, or against it?

He used the term, not me. We have no way of knowing whether there's any written requirements of their company policies regarding the issue that a subcontractor could comply or violate. If there's no rule to violate then "compliance" with a non-rule becomes an inaccurate term.

IT APPEARS he may have been blacklisted for his activism. Which includes writing and selling the book that's critical of the business. Under the same name he signs appraisal reports with.

The govt hasn't trampled his rights. He's not getting arrested for using the wrong pronouns or getting censored for antagonizing. He's on this forum today, expressing himself freely; so he hasn't been silenced and they couldn't even if they wanted to.

He said in his first post he was put on hold pending further explanation. And that he's not even working for them to begin with, which means he cut them off first. Per his discretion as a small business operator. As we to jump to the conclusion he tried to silence them?

Bad analogy. The AMC sending the letter has no public connection to the AMC named by the poster in social media posts.

Was the OP post from the person who wrote the book? The book was mentioned by a different poster on this thread.

The post was from an appraiser who said they mentioned the issues with AMC publicly. Not sure exactly what that means.

Free speech covers writing books, chatting on social media, etc.
