I would suggest finding a chapter of an appraisal organization, both were you currently located and at your new location, start attending their chapter meetings, ask to be placed on their mailing lists. Just sitting back in a corner listening to the appraisers at the chapter meetings discuss problems will be an education that you can't get in a class room or over the internet. (except here in Wayne's world and the NAIFA chat rooms). You will also start to meet appraisers and no matter what or how good your education will be, you won't be able to become an appraiser until you find a mentor for the first few years or even better the rest of your appraisal life. And chapter meetings are the best source of finding mentors! So good luck with your endeavors.
