Have you ever been going along and got screw or nail in the tire?

Many republicans said "hell no" to Elon's suggestion.

Another thought. What can Elon do to help the USA deficit a/k/a debt?

Another question. Who is influencing Elon?

I haven't seen Elon on any voting booths I have visited.

Could it be perhaps Trump is telling what Elon to say?

These things don't come out of nowhere.

Trump was also buddies with Epstein.

Don't hang the responsibility of fixing the debt on one person.

No one person can solve the problem in one single term, they can simply move it in the right direction for the future.

This is step one in 1000 steps.

Only 38 Republicans had the courage to say no.
I bet a lot more wanted to vote no but they are cowards who are cowed by Trump - which is how we got here.

I read a headline on one of the news outlets - the entire country is being held hostage now by Musk. - He seems to have a wormhole in Trump's brain. Clearly, Trump wants free reign and to let the democrats take the rap with the debt ceiling to allow him to spend and borrow recklessly ( in order to UW the massive tax cuts to his billionaire cronies -last time to UW the tax breaks added trillions to the deficit).

FWIW, IMO it is wrong. If the Republicans are serious about reining in debt and deficit, then they should do so, and if that means no massive tax cuts to the 1 %, then they need the guts to ax it.

Sir, with all due respect. I am not blaming on one person. Similar to an appraisal. Too many moving parts to blame it on one part.

Let me digress. How much does Elon owe Trump or Trump owe Elon?

Maybe $10 or $20?

Surely money is not in the mix. Money is not evil. The love of money is a sin. It becomes an idol at that point.

You gotta admire the dems who all march 100% in lock step courage. They have mob group, no one cowed, courage.

We all condemn corp greed, but government over spending & over taxing greed is ok to some of us.

You have to separate govt overspending from essential and beneficial govt services that are spent on what is needed to maintain those services. Your mob wants to gut all of it to the bone. Elon's stated goal was to reduce govt by 80%. He acts like he is running his own private company , when he axed 80% of workers from Twitter

Does a huge spike in unemployment strike you as a good idea for America ? That is where the policies of "efficiency" leads .

Your argument supports that the 1% and corporations should be granted massive tax breaks, which the rest of us pay for. I would be in favor of tax breaks for corporations and companies that, in turn, pledged to bring manufacturing back or create jobs here.

I think now it is getting to international affairs. I think money is in the mix. Elon don't have enough money to get us out of debt

I have always heard the more you get, the more you want. The love of money becomes an idol.
