Is It Super Slow Or What?

We don't even get quotes - we just get "do you want to bid" emails. Oh well, that is certainly going to mess up C & R. I am in a small town and do get a few requests from attorneys, etc. but certainly not enough to keep alive with.

12 Years in the business and never seen it this slow. Talk of finally packing up the office and taking it to the respective homes.

I'm so glad that HVCC thing panned out. :new_snipersmilie:

Yeah, The Crusaders got what they wanted, no contact with the LO and no value pressure. :rof:

Helped save a TON on marketing too.......not to mention the savings on all those bear claws ( :icon_lol: ).

Have only had 3 appraisals in 2 months super slow here

Slow Slower Slowest

My average fee this month, including finals and 2055's is $322. I work alone, I can do comfortably 1 a day, and yes I signed the petition. The arrogance on this forum is unbelievable.

I am a Florida appraiser have been for 15 years and I WISH I had what you have. I'm in Broward County and it's the slowest I have ever seen it.
Who needs an appraisal? Is anyone buying? just go look at the MLS records they tell the tale. I guess it's the AREA your in is why your so busy.

My observation and conversations with real estate agents is that many buyers are paying cash. Cash talks big here.

A LOT of it is REO related, no doubt there. But some refi and regular purchases as well. Today I had an open sale, Tuesday is an REO. Pretty typical.

Boy there are some bitter appraisers in this thread! Everyone is so ready to tear the next guy down or lob a sarcastic insult.

I'm pretty busy. Had a couple direct client full fee jobs this month so far, the rest was all AMC work with fees ranging from $260-$300. Not full fee but acceptable IMO. I've turned down several lower fee jobs this month and/or bid higher on them and never heard back. I got a request today to appraise a log home on 6.5 acres and have requested a larger fee as it will be a more difficult assignment. We'll see if they come back to me.

I have been really busy for the months of March and April!

Lots of asset management and REOS.
