I spoke with Indiana Professional licensing today about license renewals and 40% of licensed appraiser's residing in Indiana did not renewal their license this renewal period (6/30/10). The data was effective today (7/21/10). The current status for the state is 245 Active Trainees, 385 LR's, 1087 CR's & 691 CG's. With only 92 counties in the state, these numbers are very low, considering many counties are rural. Expired licenses: 293 Trainee's, 225 LR's, 218 CR's and 120 CG's. 153 licenses went inactive. It's time to demand reasonable and customary fees or decline the assignments. I am currently declining 10-15 assignment per day due to low fees and high demand to low mortage rates. With Obama signing the Financial Regulatory Reform Bill today, it's time for us to take the business back in our control and to hell with the AMC's.

I heartily agree but I am not turning down 10-15 assignments per day. I did drop PCV MURCOR as a client and I felt good all day

They begged me to get on their list too. What a waste of my time. There must be some pretty desperate appraiser's out there to complete a 1004, for $200. Their orders are deleted immediately.

I haven't gotten 15 request in the lst 3 weeks. We have always been full fee here. None of those cheap fees will we accept. Our fees have remained constant and a few AMC's that we are working with will get a fee increase (request). Need to tell everyone to raise their fees, everyone must be on board.

We must turn down the cheap fee offers. I just did five minutes ago; I hate having to do that.

You should accept those orders. Then when they call for status, tell them you thought they were joking due to the low fees. :rof:
