JD Vance: Tariffs are an Overdue Escape from Globalist Pathway

So your work force is all illegals? Then those boy's in Texas just gonna have to work smarter.
Nobody legal knows how to build houses out here anymore. In fact, the anglos left in the construction trade have a reputation for inferior quality compared to the Hispanics. A substantial portion of which are illegal. Will have to go back to the plan the first settlers had. We'll all live in dugouts...

The rule of law favors the rich. That's just the way it is. They have the means and the incentive to find and exploit the loopholes. Or leave, as a couple of the blue states have been finding out.

That's why all we get when we chase the rich is the collateral damage to the not-rich who don't have the resources to find the loopholes.

Your "movement" needs to hire a consultant for your "Texas outreach program" You're a little misinformed about the true level of political ignorance out here. You can't name a single state in the Union where the Republican party worships Donald Trump more than Texas. It's embarrassing.
I was talking to Charles's about California not Texas.

My local newspaper dropped Scott Adams when he refused to be woke, so I appreciate Alsie including his clips. Generally Adams has it right, but along with Sen. Kennedy saying "In the long run we will all be dead" comment on tariffs, there is a Middle "Run." I get tired of 'short run' and 'long run' talk, since it is just part of economic theory. Trump has gotten about $1 Trillion in new plant construction based on his tariff talk, and just like in building a house, you can't turn on a light switch and make it happen. Musk is pretty smart and capable of looking into the future and concluding the US is spending itself into oblivion. A trillion here and a trillion there, and a big tax cut, and in the Middle Run it might work out.
