Just wondering, is anyone doing the new 1004/70D desktop for their clients?

I don't know if you noticed but the OP....
Did not respond to my post asking what the high end and average fees were....
I did, and wish he had. I'm afraid that picture would not be much rosier, though!

They must be using desktops only in certain markets.
They’re going to AMCs who have staff. Indie shops aren’t seeing desktops, hybrids, or PDRs as far as I can tell.

The AMCs are so crucial to the GSE plans that if the AMCs are about to fail then the GSE's would probably bail them out. The AMCs are pretty much extensions of the GSE's.

Someone posted elsewhere that they were expected to complete 10-15 a day as an AMC employee. I suspect that is where any volume in them is hiding.
I highly doubt. That the "desktops" that are being referred to above. Are 1004 desktops. More than likely they are some type of proprietary product. Short and sweet and not for typical lending purposes. I have recently been assigned 2 appraisals. I was given the option to provide a 1004 or a 1004 desktop. My choice. Same fee for either (not discounted). I chose standard 1004 because: the first one was a new build not listed on MLS. No county auditor info except the site. The second one was a conventional purchase. But it was not listed on MLS. In either case. I didn't have enough data to confirm any info provided by third party.

Was the a direct lender, or AMC?

AMC. But they are a "associated" with the lender. The fee they offered was my published fee. I am not the most expensive in the area. But I am nowhere near the cheapest. I am also one of the few on their panel in my area. A last count. There were 3 of us in a six county area
