... my son-in-law just went to work for Cerner and he/daughter are considering moving to Kansas City. They currently have their house on the market in Erie and are debating whether to buy or rent in K.C. Ultimately they desire to own versus rent, but are debating their near term strategy given lack-luster housing market in MI, OH, PA.

Any insights from K.C. appraisers would be appreciated; specifically, is there much difference between K.C., MO verus K.C., KS housing markets?

TIA...

Overall the Kansas City market has experienced a moderate decline in some areas and remained stable in others. Over the last year I have found only two markets that are still increasing. Sales are flat right now and a buyer can really clean up. There is a large difference between the Kansas City Missouri, and the Kansas City, Kansas markets. There are also 27 Cities in the Bi-State, 7 county area that they can choose from.

Drop me a PM or a phone call I will be glad to help anyway I can.
