Hello INDIANA APPRAISERS
Is anybody concerned about all the new changes that are being proposed concerning who is going to oder appraisals?Seems like the AMC corporation are really going to like the new rules and appraisers are going to be hurting big time.Did you sign the ala mode petion?
What say you. Is this just a bump in the road or the begining of the end of the appraisal profession?

Howdy Ken,

Yep, I'm worried. And, yes, I think it is the end of residential appraising as we've known it. The past couple of years I've branched out into doing reviews where honesty is actually appreciated. Problem is that even those are now going through the Almost Mindless Companies with fee siphoning.

Very worried. This will be the end of the one man shops. The only ones that will survive this will be the ones that are very diversified and don't rely heavily on mortgage work, skippy mills, and the incompetent that are willing to crank out a URAR for $150 a pop.

The thought of going back to the corporate world make me want to stick the business end of a shotgun in my mouth.

Only time will tell....I plan to stick it out as long as I can....When life deals you a lemon try to make lemonade out of it!
