Leased HVAC?

checked the website for one and they say they are providing HVAC service. you pay a monthly fee and they make sure you have hot and cold air blowing in.

This sounds like a service contract to maintain the thing you already own.
Personally I would not buy that or do a leased system.
It just costs more at the end of the deal.

I won't buy an extended warranty or for sure no payday or pawn shop loans.
Those are mostly for suckers, that are born every minute.

Hmm. Maybe I need new line of work.
Do suckers need fleecing?
Is that activity ethical? :peace:

Thanks for posting those articles. They illustrate some of the issues I was wondering about - I've just never come across this before. I need a copy of that lease to figure out the details because it seems like there has to be some sort of buyout clause, or lease to own clause, or something. All houses HAVE TO HAVE a source of heat for occupancy. It seems outlandish that a company could gain long-term/permanent stake in a critical piece of real property and an income stream for $5-$10k. I'm not a lawyer, but I'd bet this would raise all sorts of legal issues, and is why its pretty close to a scam.

Your welcome! Your Instincts were right. The issue I see is that lenders will not be 2nd fiddle to some Lease or UCC. Meaning they would likely require a Payoff or lease Buy out before they would do a 1st Mtg or 2nd mtg Refinance. Even a purchase will be problematic for the Seller.

Yes, it is a Scam! Legal Scam but a scam none the less.
