I just downloaded the 30 Day trial to convert Alamode (Aurora) to Lighthouse. When converting, I get an ERROR telling me to contact my Vendor Support. Does anyone know if the free trial allows conversion? If not, what's the point of the free trial... Also, will I have to also buy the signature when using Lighthouse? Hopefully not. Thanks!

I am not sure which software you are getting the "free trial" from. The way I understand it, you need to purchase three things in order to transfer reports via Lighthouse.
1- Your software vendor has a conversion package for you to buy.
2- ACI has a conversion package for you to buy, around $300.
3- Then the signature thingy for $75.

So your free trial probably only covers one of the vendors, instead of both. Why, are you signing up, many places will still accept PDF's, they complain but will still accept them. And from what I have read on the forum, your data is safer if you stick with PDF's.

Two new clients "management company's" require ACI format. I think so they can have it in their tracking system, not because the vendor needs it. I went to ACI's website and downloaded lighthouse. I can open the program and in registration is says "30 day trial", but it doesn't do anything. I figured I'd need to register it to actually send it, but though it might do something...I'm hesitant to register it for a whopping $300...AND also buy a $75 signature!!!!

You have to buy something from your software vendor as well in order for it to work, so it costs even more than that.

Really, from what I hear those AMC's will still take PDF's, but wait for other replies, they will be able to help you more. Keep in mind, Lighthouse gives them the capability to change your report, do a search on this forum regarding the subject and you can read for days.
