I can not open a locked report. In the Tech Support Assistant verifying XML files is red exclamation point
I do not know if there is Total support today
I have deleted the locked file but it reappears I am 2 hrs away from support Any suggestions?

Did you go into your total's 'tech support program'. Sometimes that can fix it, if you look at all the options and try them. Sometimes it spots it right off on the 1st screen.

Its low tech but try it - shut the computer down and turn it back on. Sometimes it unfreezes things. if not, wait till tech support opens - banks are closed today in American, idk your locale if they are but sometimes things happen to delay a report, send a note to the client what happened and enjoy your day.

I have restarted 3 times and it did not work I believe it is a missing file netettings.xml I clicked " restore xml files " but did not work Fortunately Total replied and will provide support when my time is due thank you very much

Having tinkered with computers to always make them faster, i have crashed many times doing that. Sometimes it's only a wrong registry key in some long chain. When that happens you may have to uninstall, then reinstall. In the old days when total crashed it would need to be removed then re installed again. I hope you made a back up of move total, found in tech support. It installs everything you had back. If you don't do that you will get a clean install of total without all the stuff you saved. Just mentioning that to everyone here, you don't want a clean total with all your saved stuff gone.

Did you try to go back on your updates to reinstall some of them. That sometimes reinstalls certain exe files used.
