My digital camera has played out, I like the 0.50 zoom that my iphone takes, are there any sub $200 digital cameras that has the 0.50 zoom feature, thanks.

Not sure I understand the .5 zoom term? Typically, 4x or 8x or whatever applies to zoom, whereas .5 seems to be a shrink? Anyway, I usually use these and they last years without a hitch. I bought two refurbished 10 years ago and haven't taken the second one out of the box yet, despite dropping the one I use daily on the first day.

.5 is for listing photos that need the fish eye look. I find them slightly deceiving.

I can't think of a reason you wouldn't use your phone camera. Apple has the cloud (for a fee) and upload your photos, file ready for your desk. How can life get any better than that?

A far cry from the Mavica series, both floppy and mini disc, I last used.

I tried finding a digital camera last year because I wanted an option to the Iphone - they are so outdated by now that they have discontinued a lot of models, the memory cards do not sync etc. The iphone rules now.

I like a separate camera because my routing app is on my phone and because of that its a PITA to take comp photos. I have a Nikon coolpix that works, but I am not exceedingly thrilled with. The cameras have gotten expensive. I got a refurbished one.

I love my Canon camera. So much convenient to take photos than iphone.
Years ago, I liked it so much that I bought same one in case my old one dies.

I never use my phone to shoot photos for my appraisals. Always use point and shoot cameras. You can get these all over eBay...stupid cheap plus, waterproof for vacations. Or, pickup a Sony Cybershot.

These are all you need. Your appraisal shots aren't going to be in Architectural Digest....

I miss my flip phone, hate taking phone pictures. What is the difficulty of the camera hanging around your neck, shoot photo, drop camera, write notes. And the san disk easily gives me my photos. You i phoners just don't like us normal cave appraisers. I also, never buy new, used ones work just as good.
