We have a customer who insists on receiving an old expired HUD form (expired 8 yrs ago). Its called APPRAISER/REVIEW APPRAISER CHECKLIST. I checked with HUD and they no longer even have it in their library of forms. If anyone out there has a clean digital copy of this form, or can even snail mail a paper version to me, I would be very appreciative.

George,

I can't figure out why your client would want a form that FHA no longer uses and probably won't accept.

I would call REAC (do they still exist?) or your HOC and ask them about this. Sounds more like your client needs some current education.

Guess I haven't been into FHA work long enough to know what form this is so I can't help you find one.

George,

Man, that form is old. The most recent one I have is dated 6/85.

Of course you know it' s obsolete and does not have to be completed by the appraiser.

Most of the stuff on the 54891 has been replaced by the VC1 Conditions and the Builder's Certification form which the appraiser is required to review.

Hey, what they do? Dig this DEU out of retirement because the lender is so busy???????

Yes, we subsequently found the digital library version. The Helpline guy was the one who told me they didn't have it and I had not double-checked him at the time I first posted request.
Yes, we know it's an old retired form, and we have already beaten our heads against the "you don't need this" wall a couple of times, to no avail. So, back to work..... thx again GVann
