2) ACI - I believe Appraisers Choice is the 2nd largest company and it is own by First American. I have not seen the concern about this ownership that I did with Corelogic/Total. ACI has a cloud version but the last time I check it is handicapped and not functional as a stand alone software

Any ACI users dawging-on Corelogic, take a look at your Resource Monitor, then look at Network Connections (TCP/UDP listening ports). Note that whenever you upload an appraisal to say Appraisal Port, or, transfer the file type into a .xml or .env -check out who is listening on your network. You shall see ddb.appraisal.com on your network (and its corresponding IP). You will also see ASC.gov, and amazonaws servers, ofc (those make sense). But who is this ddb.appraisal.com hitting my server for a cpl /few MBs right as one uploads an appraisal to popular websites appraisers utilize (like AP), or simply changing to .env or .xml to email to a client (they listen for the duration of the file to .xml or .env change)? Id say, guessing, ACI is harvesting data just like CL (again, speculation ofc), but Ive asked their tech why they ping on uploads and they can’t provide me a logical answer. Try it. You’ll see ddb.appraisal.com (throw it into a url bar -its a seemingly paid service, not necessarily for appraisers). If anyone can lend some insight as to this domain, please follow-up as Id be most grateful! Ty
