I have searched threads and Googled and Yahoo'd for references and suggestions on how to prepare for and pass the 2008 state certified exam. Previously licensed in Florida and now relocated to New York. Any constructive suggestions or tips on prep would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

I found it most helpful to be familiar with all the definitions in all the appraisal/real estate books you can find. I made over 100 flash cards but by the time I was done writing them out I was so familiar with the words I really didn’t need to study them anymore.

I tell everyone, you cant answer the question if you don’t know what they are asking.

The Florida test is more difficult than the New York test. You shouldn't have any problems.

I took my cert res test back in the dark ages. I found it very easy, but that was because I had taken the SREA (now part of AI) courses. The tests in those classes, at least back then, where much, much more difficult than anything on the state exam.
