has anyone come up with a device to open an attic scuttle from the floor? I am trying to avoid dragging a ladder into homes.

We just had this discussion so try the search. It was called "Do You Carry a Ladder". Warning .It got ugly...so hopefully you are not talking FHA.

The OP is talking FHA and I would love to hear an explanation from them for suggesting to ignore protocol.

I have no idea how the industry can have remote desktop reviews, desktop appraisals, use satellite photos to see hidden (from the street view) external influences, yet using a GoPro or selfie stick to view an attic is some great transgression that will render a report less credible and the offending appraiser a cheat.
