Low effort appraisers

If you don't show up in the top ten and your competitor does, they get the gig. Ditto for investors, lawyers, estate - all of them search.
You have to buy that space from google. Unless a paid ad, appraisers are way down the list.

I used to be 3rd if you googled up "Mineral Appraiser" now and you won't even find my site. Most are not mineral appraisers, they are mineral buyers paying for the space.

The mere thought of marketing and worse paying for anything your not forced to have, is like Kryptonite to appraisers.

I knew some who didn't have a cell phone until it became cheaper than the land line and still can't use it on the interweb.

One held onto his flip phone until he ran into the back of a big rig while trying to answer a call. He refused medical attention, drove home and told his wife he didn't feel good but thank god his phone still worked , and then he laid down and died. Wife cremated him and three month's later married his old appraiser buddy who also used a flip phone and a measuring wheel. You just can't make this **** up.

No you don't, you just need to have a site with a reasonable SEO story. I.e., have typical phrases and content that private appraiser consumers might google up.

Here's an appraiser's who's absolutely dominating it. This is a direct name search but he also comes up when people search for "appraisers near me" type of queries:

Try it and see if my website comes up "Mineral Appraiser" "oil and gas appraiser" - I don't see it. I see a couple of mineral appraisers I know but most are of the listings are just non-appraiser website or chasing their tails. Adding 'near me' to my own location will bring it up of course, but my client base is over 2 states and clients are nationwide or even overseas.

Glad to run an SEO for your if you share the link here or pm. I've got a bunch of monthly credits left with the tool I use.

Get a website and don't drive while looking at a old flip phone. Lol
I kinda miss my old motorola phone. I have a website and a professional email address but honestly I get about 1-5 inquiries a year from the general public which is fine with me. Most of my business comes from people that already have my info.
