Hello, everyone!

I’m excited to share that I recently received my MAI designation! I’d like to talk about my experience with the comprehensive exams, which I found to be the most challenging part of the process. If you’re preparing for the exams and looking for guidance, I highly recommend focusing on test prep materials because these exams are significantly harder than the course exams. Many of the questions are based on real-world scenarios, making thorough preparation essential.

I took advanced classes with Gary S. DeWeese, MAI, through the Appraisal Institute and discovered that he also offers excellent test prep materials specifically designed for candidates. I purchased his test prep about three months before my scheduled exams and diligently worked through every single question. Thanks to his comprehensive materials, I was able to pass all of the exams.

For those interested, here’s the link to Gary’s test prep materials: http://garydeweese.com/are-you-prepared-prep-materials/. Additionally, Gary is incredibly supportive and responsive, so if you have any questions about the exams or even your demonstration report, don’t hesitate to reach out to him. I personally benefited from his guidance on my demo, and I’m very grateful for his help throughout the process.

Best of luck to everyone working toward their designation—you’ve got this!
