Who knows? Only AI. The Ozark, Little Rock, Tulsa, Okla chapters are all combined. Better question. How many ASA chapters are there in the 4 state region? (AR, OK, MO, KS) How many ASFMRA members are there? Pick a group. No one wants to pay $1,000 a year and have only a handful of "peers" to network with. Personally, I am not driving 230 miles to a chapter meeting and only find 4 people there. I did that with NAIFA 20 plus years ago. The Prez and his assistant were in the town (Pryor Ck. OK) and I drove 80 miles and a guy from Tulsa Drove 30 miles and the guest drove about 30 miles. I was embarrassed for our president who was obviously disappointed with the attendance. I was there because the NAIFA chapter failed in NW Arkansas. It's hard to have a chapter when no one shows up to meetings.

All you have to do, in my state anyway, is send the board the syllabus and course content description and your continuing education form (and a $25 fee) and the board will approve it for continuing education. I always did this on my IAAO designation or any appraisal conferences. You just have to pay for the course to be approved since the IRWA didn't but the chapter here does get some classes approved here since we have the busiest TDOT region.

I think the fee is no longer required. I taught a class in Virginia with some Tennessee participants. All they had to do was provide the Virginia CE Certificate. No fee required.

My state rejected my application despite the course approved by AI, ASA, ASFMRA... that was in 2003, the same year that @DWiley finally convinced the powers that be in TAF that mineral rights were REAL PROPERTY and not INTANGIBLE or BUSINESS property rights.
