MAI Exam Prep

I've got a pretty money question/answer sheet for the Income section. All the other sections are fairly easy. I bought all the study guides, did the thing with the classroom questions, etc, but none were as good as this 60 question test/answer thing I got from a friend at CB. Happy to pass along.

If you could pass that along, I would greatly appreciate it.

I. Would love to get a peak at the sheet as well.

I have the Whitmer review material along with the DeWeese material. I was wondering which one is best for the Sales Approach Module. Thanks

Kiritf,

I am taking the Sales Module in a couple weeks, do you have a study guide for the sales section? Thanks

I used Whitmers material when I took the Sales Module and had no issues. I don't have any experience with the DeWeese material.

Could you pass along this question/answer guide for the Income module? Much appreciated!!

Any chance I could get a copy of those questions as well? Taking the exam next Monday. Thanks!

If anyone has any study questions/material for Sales and Cost which could be passed along to me it would be greatly appreciated. What I have to study (from a review class) has proven to be totally inadequate. Thanks!

+1 on Urubek. I always take the time to put in a good word for Urubek when the opportunity arises. I took the comp in 2014 and found Whitmer's material to be almost entirely useless. The comp did not resemble his material at all. Simply studying the AI material would have also been insufficient for me. Taking Urubek's course will just make you a better appraiser. He teaches appraisal concepts, which is what the comp is designed to test you on. You can get the right answer even if the questions change if you understand the underlying concept. There is a lot of statistics in the sales module, so be comfortable solving those problems on your calculator. I seriously considered going back to school for a masters degree after studying for that test. I hadn't studied that hard since, well, probably ever.

No time to take Urubek's class at this point, but assuming I have to retake (likely) I will look into it. As far as statistics go, I'm very comfortable. Took stats for undergrad, for Masters, and the AI class. Feel like I could probably teach it.

The material I have to study now for Sales and Cost are totally inadequate. There are random questions (especially in Sales) that aren't found in anything I have (nor do they apply to what we do....but that's another topic). I was hoping to get some practice questions that someone else found useful.

Thanks for the tips though. I will definitely look into Urubek's class after this round.
