Math on the Certified Residential State Exam

A memory flash back came back. When I first started out, I was still learning this appraisal stuff.
In a new home subdivision, this agent who looked a bit like my mom called me a knucklehead.
At that time I thought it was funny and went along with it.
Now when I think about it, it wasn't nice.

Hopefully you have been called worse than that.

And hopefully by better people.

I don't understand why the practice tests have math problems that require the HP12C. However, you are not permitted to use this calculator on the real test.
We used 12C in the tests I took (2 - CR and CG) and, of course, qualifying tests.
I am pretty sure it is now a national test.
Don't think so, but they may have the same pool of questions depending upon state by state. I know OK and AR tests were much different. OK was using computer tests at Sylvan Learning Centers. We took proctored exams at the state designated area
HP12c calculators have the arithmetic function
Once you get used to RPN, you cannot use the other kind. I even have a 12c clone app on my phone...

Don't remember in the test but was bracketing in the test. My pet peeve is AMCs wanting to bracket the comps.
Was it invented by the lenders to window dress our report? AMCs want me to get a comp to bracket and I just grab whatever after the review and my value still the same.
And the AMC is happy. Wasted my time.
