MLS PHOTOS------COPY / PASTE ???

I do try to take comp picts if close, my data base usually has the picts in it but the other day I crashed without backup, my fault. If I am using MLS photos I say so in my report. Most of the time I have inspected the property (from the road). I do agree I will not go down a private road, in my area they shoot first and call the coroner 2nd.

I pick and choose which properties I will go on. In Dane County (where Madison is) I don't mind driving up to a house and asking to take a picture. Most people are OK after explaining why. However, in the more rural counties, no way am I going down a long private drive. Then the problem is that those are the counties without MLS.

All I remember was it was a "fixer". Used to fix me too! My first camera was one of those old brown jobs...heavier than hell and I think it took 8 pictures. Film was very expensive so we would buy the stuff just out of date for half price. If one of us found some we would call all the other appraisers and tell them about it. The next camera was a white plastic thingy...pretty cheap and it held 10 pics as I recall.

Hate to give my age away (everyone knows anyway) but when I started in TV news we used to use black and white poloriod pics and pin them to a cork board. The camera man would zoon in real tight on them. Black and white cameras too. I still have a couple of pics of me in the studio when I was a weekend anchor, cira 63 ~ 64. Will see if I can scan it in sometime and give you all a thrill.
