8O Sheesh Mike :!: I was answering Frederick! I didn't even read your post before posting mine!

Hey Frederick, why would you want to go through the hassle and expense of wireless to send lots of data only for someone else less experienced to write your reports? It doesn't make sense. You should work yourself into a solution that lets you finish the work in the field and then download it once back to the office. That's how we do it but, that takes team work. We find it well worth it because production sky-rockets with out loss of quality. In fact the quality is enhanced. The best time to write a report is when everything is fresh in your head not after you have completed 4 inspections and looked at as many as 30 - 40 comps only to rely on your note taking and photos. Dont ever forget, Your only as good as your last appraisal.

Uh MReilly,
I do not know where to begin with you, My whole point about having access to the web was to demonstrate how it is possible to receive the order, complete the inspection, pull the comps, completet the report, deliver the report (to the client), and collect the fee ALL IN THE FIELD!!!!! How did you get to me gathering the field data and sending it to someone else to use to complete the report?? I would never let anyone else write my reports. You somehow got off the track.

my bust Frederick, it was vargasteve I should have addressed this question to based on the very first post.

So sorry

I'm with you mike stone. I read fredericks answer to steve the same way you did. Here in Indy, I believe most folks would agree that using a private residence's wireless link would be wrong. That was all i was aying in my initial post frederick. no pointing fingers about it. just saying i think that the cell phone is the way to go, or use a public access network.

I will quote myself.
"I have also heard (over on the tech forum) of appraisers that have wireless LAN card in their laptop or Tablet P.C. connecting to a highspeed connection (someone in the neighborhood with a wireless network in their house) while sitting in their car."
How do you guys get from this to me condoning theft. I do not say that it was NOT a registered network or that it was not a public network or even that it was a private network, You all just ASSUMED that it was somehow theft, and because I read about it and mentioned it here in an answer to someone's question that I somehow condone theft. Give me a break and read the posts!!! :?
