More AMC and PDC Bull

The lawsuits going forward in the courts are found important enough to pursue.
So what could be the possible outcomes of these suits. The AMCs get a fine, the plaintiffs get a few bucks and the lawyers make a fortune,. They're forced to change disclosure rules and find a way to keep charging the same amount but it is "disclosed". Unless you think the courts will set a maximum fee the AMCs can charge. Which is highly unlikely

Even lenders are addicted to the AMC oligarchs. At this point, the whole system is basically a monopoly with paperwork.

IDK what the outcome will be. I think it might clean up some of the more egregious fee splits and at least it will get the issue out in the open. Lenders hate bad publicity, and the AMC's cast in a bad light to the public might make the lenders think twice about using them- or rein in the fee split if they do use one.

When an appraiser finds a repair, the process becomes slow, indirect, and inefficient because the AMC inserts itself between every party. Instead of a simple, professional interaction, the system forces everyone into a controlled communication chain that benefits the AMC, not the appraiser, lender, or borrower.
----------------------------------------------------

What your seeing is the AMC is a great help to lenders , It is one stop shopping for a lender, Kinda l The AMC makes mo money when a repair is needed, The lender lets the AMC handle it and again mo money for the AMC bigshot
now the repair issue is often handled by the prop owner but if the appraiser goes out the AMC makes more money when you say AOK now

OK more from AI for you naysayers in regards to the lawsuits

Appraisers have the stronger legal foundation, because the laws they’re invoking (C&R fees, antitrust, consumer protection) are real, enforceable, and clearly written. But the outcome depends on evidence, the judge, and how well the cases are argued.

Yep, appraiser's repair inspection fee $75, AMC mark-up $75. Borrower and Realtors reaction "OMG, greedy appraiser only called for a repair so he could charge $150!"

But it's not the appraisers who are the plaintiffs

Side note these lawyers have taken on the case on a contingency basis, That is very strong when they do hat it also can take a long time

Per AI Copilot

The plaintiffs are a small number of individual appraisers — but they file the case on behalf of a much larger group.
-------------------------------------------

  • 1 appraiser
  • or 2–5 appraisers
These are the named plaintiffs.

Their names appear on the lawsuit. They are the ones who sign the complaint. They are the ones who work directly with the lawyers.

I wonder if Jgrant is one of the plaintiffs
