I have been in contact with a management company that needs appraisers in North Carolina. I was told, once they get full coverage to the state they will market NC to all of their clients. They have some coverage in metro areas now.
I know most of you don't want to work for an AMC anymore than I do, but they quote $325 for a 1004 appraisal (certainly reasonable in my book). Their application was simple to fill out, and they did not ask me to sign some 15-page contract (approval package is about 5 pages total- usual stuff).
Send me a message with your name, phone #, and counties you cover. As long as we don't overlap in coverage areas, I will forward your info.
