The first annual meeting of the North Carolina Professional Appraisers Coalition is scheduled for August 30, 2003, at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center, Durham, RTP, NC. In conjunction with this meeting we are offering the National & Hr USPAP Update Course.

For members of NCPAC, the $100 registration fee includes the $60 annual membership dues. Thus, NCPAC members have an opportunity to take the course at a cost of only $40 (plus the costs of required books).

You can find more information about the meeting and register online at:

Curtis,

I want to thank you for inviting me to teach one hour of the new seven hour USPAP Class. :D

I look forward to sharing with the North Carolina appraisers at the first annual meeting in Raleigh. I am anxious to see the other instructors and you teach on August 30th.

Let us be the first State and let the other 49 follow us to achieve some sort of "Professional Appraisal Groups" and I applaude you for starting NCPAC. Please include me as a volunteer in anything you need. :D

We now have seven instructors signed up to teach this course - one for each of the seven hours in the course.

All of the instructors are AQB Certified, and experienced in teaching the USPAP course. All are members of the North Carolina Professional Appraisers Coalition.

I did check with both the North Carolina Appraisal Board and the Appraisal Foundation to make sure that this team teaching approach was o.k. - both said yes.

You can see more information about this course, and about the North Carolina Professional Appraisers Coalition at our website

Curtis,

I am really happy to hear that you were able to sign up SEVEN instructors. This is pretty amazing since we only have 21 in the entire state and some of them are not teaching USPAP at all....they just wanted to become certified.

This indicates to me that we have more folks who are beginning to see that we need to join forces to improve the profession. I hope this will be the beginning of a movement to meet in increasingly larger groups and reach a consensus on what the problems are and exactly what we everyday, working appraisers can do to find some new ideas to improve our profession.

There will most likely never be another chance to take the USPAP Update for less money and more importantly to get in on the ground floor of new appraisers group which is open to EVERY appraiser in NC, regrdless of education, experience, creed, color, sex......you get the message. NO INITIALS (after your name) REQUIRED! Just come and get involved.

I look forward to meeting many appriaisers from across the state and taking part in the conference as well as the USPAP class.

This Saturday is coming fast. Enjoyed talking with all the instructors on our conference call yesterday. I will be teaching hour six of the seven hour USPAP class in Raleigh... check out our new organization at http://NCPAC.org

This will surely be the most interesting USPAP course that I have ever attended - with (at least) seven appraisers/instructors all in the same room and all agreeing (at least hopefully) with each other.

And they said it couldn't be done!
