Reminds me of a similar request by a Navy ships captain. The sailor who responded said he spoke french. The boat that was guide the Navy ship into the harbor was waiting to come along side. The captain asked the sailor to tell them, in french to come along side. The sailor said to the frenchmen on the boat...."HeyFrenchie, come along ze side".:rof:

Just don't shave and be rude, and you will be fine. :rof:

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

What language are they going to interpret in if they don't speak English?

If you need to hack your way through text, try Google Translate. I've been able to make my way through a couple Spanish Contracts to get the gist. Obviously the lawyers had final say, but at least I had a general idea.

Vous devriez essayer Google Translate

On ne sait jamais, ça pourrait fonctionner.

seriously, folks,

I really could use the help of someone who is fluent in french (and english, janet) so that i can interview a possible witness to identity theft/fraud.

Seriously, Jo - Why on earth would you ask for help on a local mundane matter? Local phone calls don't cost extra, you know.

Sorry Jo...:Emoticon_hug:

Call the University Language Department and see if you can hire a french speaking student.

Give the Rochester Amerks a buzz at 585.454.5335, I'm sure they could hook you up with a Frenchy right in town!
