Need Recommendations For New Laptop

I have a two year old HP Spectre 13 (thin/light) that I like.

Spectre x360 series are super nice.

They offer two video outputs (hdmi/DP), so you can run two external screens. Paired up with a wireless mouse and keyboard, you will have a powerful system on your desk.

Another vote for Lenovo Thinkpad. Look a little and find a refurbed W520 with an i7.
These machine were made for road warriors, and will last a very long time.
BTW - Keyboard action is legendary, and both access to the innards, and replacement parts readily available.

I would look into the new AMD based laptops with the new AMD Ryzen processor. Although the Ryzen line came out a year ago they seem to just be hitting the laptop market in the last couple weeks with the new 2nd generation of Ryzen.

As far as the laptop itself, I think the HPs and Samsungs are providing better deals with the Ryzen processor. But I haven't looked into it.

As far as specs. I agree with getting an SSD, lots of memory, a big screen and most importantly a number pad on the side. For doing appraisal work that number key pad is a necessity.

I Put a Ryzen 7 in the last desktop build. Awesome processor. Scary fast.
