I got my copy of Valuation, with an ad for ACI Sketch. Now the cost is much less than WinTotal. And since I never could figure out WinTotal, I'm just asking if anyone has tried out ACI Sketch.

Good? Lousy? Easy to use? Hard to use? Bueller? Bueller?

ACI bought a license from Rapid Sketch to use their program and label it "ACI Sketch". I was using WinSketch which is fine for developing a basic sketch, but it does not offer icons such as appliances, cars to put in the garage etc. Since I started doing relocation appraisals, I wanted something with more features since I was impressed with other appraisers more elaborate sketches.

It took me a long time to be able to use Rapid Sketch, and many phone calls to their tech support department. The person that I have dealt with mostly at Rapid Sketch has been wonderful and is very nice. But supposedly since ACI bought their own version of it, you would deal with the ACI techs if you have ACI.

WinTotal is Alamode, so if you wanted to use ACI Sketch, I would think that you would need ACI. From what I understand, ACI Sketch or Rapid Sketch is very much like APEX, or just slightly superior. An ACI tech told me that they are still trying to work out the bugs in the ACI Sketch program though.

I don't know if that helps.

Option exists to select WHICH sketch program - including Apex. Select one you are comfortable with.......bells & whistles aren't all they're cracked up to be in many cases.

I currently use DC Sketch. Very simple little program, absolutely NO bells and whistles. Does the job, but I figure it will disappear, so looking at options.

My company has used Apex in the past, and I am now considering any options.
What other similar sketch programs have you used and is the price comparable to Apex? Anyone else having customer service problems with Apex,
or is it just me?
