I was informed by the instructor in class today that the new residential test will comprise 165 questions, and they will all be application based. There will be several parts to each question. They are going to allow 6 hours to take the test. Unfortunately those that are the first to take it will be the guinea pigs and will have to wait for their results because they aren’t sure how it will be graded at this point. On factor is that for those questions that EVERYONE misses, they will be removed from the test and score.

Thought I’d pass the info along… :)

Donna, that is standard procedure in any well constructed test. A statistically significant number of people take the test, then the test is evaluated to judge the validity and reliability of the test. If everyone from a group misses a question, odds are the question is the problem, not the people taking the test.

It is statistically impossible for it to be a good question if you don't at least have a few people accidentally getting it right. :rof:

Yeah, and so those that are the first to take it will have to wait for their results? What do you find so amusing, CP?

My information is that the earliest will be well into 2008 depending on the length of time needed to have an adequate number of guinea pigs complete the test and do the evaluation.

I understand that the CG test will be eight hours.
