Clickforms recently changed their mapping application to a different version of Bing. The only major difference is the procedure for closing a polygon when trying to define neighborhood boundaries. The old method for closing a polygon was to double click at the point where you wanted it to close. That no longer works. After some trial and error, I found that the new way to close a polygon is to hit the escape key on your keyboard when you are at the point you want it to close.

I saw that.

Looks a little more modern (no aerial view anymore), works fine with W10.

We sent out a ClickTIP yesterday to cover how to close the polygon with the updated Location Map service. You hit the escape key. When you're drawing your boundaries fast you can accidentally close the polygon when the computer thinks you hit a double click, so a different procedure was introduced.

Sadly, the bird's eye view is no longer available from Bing. I think a lot of their lower altitude images were old anyway.

It was necessary to change the way the service was provided to you. Microsoft discontinued support for the Silverlight plugin and it was only a matter of time before something changed that would stop the Location Maps from working. For those on older XP and Vista systems, the Location Maps will not work with the latest ClickFORMS. Do not upgrade until you have upgraded to the latest Windows OS (or at least something a bit more modern). Microsoft stopped supporting XP 3 years ago and we stopped a year ago. These systems are highly vulnerable these days to attacks and Microsoft is no longer protecting these systems. You're on borrowed time with XP and Vista and Microsoft may cut off services at a very inconvenient time for you.

If you're having any issues or have questions concerning the latest upgrade, don't hesitate to contact Tech Support.
