New name for former appraisers?

Hey Wayne - did you ever decide whether us former appraisers could have a more accurate title than general public? Retired appraiser? Former Appraiser? Something?

The three former appraisers I know of are now called "Mortgage Brokers". I don't know what they will be called in a couple months. Probably "Sales Associate", and wear a blue vest.

How long can an appraiser go without a new appraisal request before they are considered a former appraiser. Man is it slow, just got a call ten minutes ago from a 800 number broker I never heard of before seeking a comp check, they didn't even promise any work to follow this time, just ask for a comp check...

I don't know. The problem is anyone can claim to be a former appraiser or retired appraiser on registration, so we would need to verify it. I guess we could only allow those titles if someone had a license at one time, or has a current license but just not using it.

Somehow I can't imagine Cynthia 'retiring'. I have a feeling she'll be back in the business when things 'normalize' a little in the industry.
