New Reconcilation Comments

It probably doesn't matter a whit, beyond being a matter of preference to the writer. I'm not very good at proof reading my own writing, and am relieved when I look at an older report in which my subjects and predicates are playing well together. I've been known to dangle a participle from time to time, primarily to stay below the median on the bloviatometer.

I am not a "natural" writer, I do believe my report writing has improved over the years...sometimes I write in an odd order of wording ( a touch of dyslexia)

Third person - now just throw in a little passive voice and you're all set!
Yea, the MSWord review system dislikes the passive voice; and towards that end . . . "the issue will be further researched by this inquisitive individual to determine why the use of the passive voice is viewed unfavorably." (Although it's challenging to create a passive comment when it does not come naturally.)
To me seems the same with the words flipped around since indicated is still past tense..but what is wrong with that, since an appraisal is derived from (recent) historic data up to and including the effective date , (Including any current listings and known conditions)..

The present tense would be : " The market indicates a 5% time adjustment. "

But would present tense be less realistic since it was the past data of closed sales from X past date up to effective date that we got the adjustment from.?
Your comments appear, although in a roundabout manner, to address the distinction between "...exposure" and "...time."

Thanks, it seems more true to the problem at hand when I am addressing that I did something. I used to write "the appraiser" but since the appraiser was me, figured I'd just say so. Thank you for your comments. I appreciate them.
Some mentors I had thought that "the appraiser" created a distance in liability. I asked who signed an appraisal report one day, they looked at it and said, "I did".

I said, "exactly".

I like using 3rd person "the appraiser" over "I". It's like saying, "enough of me talking about me, let's hear you talk about me" :X3:

Exactly right. My reconciliation may take as long to write as preparing the rest of the report (formfilling). Typically I'll fill up the whole third page and sometimes runs over to the supplemental addenda
Same here. My form always says "see additional comments"....and my reconciliation comments are one page, at minimum.
