I have had my Garmin 2610 for about 3 months now and it has saved me alot of time as well as gas money on each appraisal. ( no more u-turns, driving around in circles, one way streets)
I count it as one of my most helpful tools, right up there with the Laptop, Disto and the PDA.
The maping software was included with the model I purchased, in some models you must buy the software license separetly, so keep that in mind when searching for a GPS unit.
I got mine at Gpsdiscount.com they had the best prices I have seen and offer several different models and brands.

If you need a GPS to do your job, you just don't know your market!

Where is that competency link?

My "market" covers 14, very rural, counties. If you are familiar with rural counties and markets, you now that stealing street signs, is second only to a 6 pack and a bug zapper. Without the GPS, it would take infinitely longer to locate these roads and would result in a tremendous loss of time ...... which is, after all, .... money. It is not like Texas here .... you can't stand on one side of the county and see the other. ;)

Admit it Tim .... you are just afraid of technology!!
