NEW VA Fees and Timeliness Schedules Released Effective Dec 1

This is what we received from the Roanoke RLC:

In order for VA to remain and get back to being competitive in most areas; there has been a change to Fees for appraisals ordered on/after December 1, 2021. This is part of a regular local and national monitoring and will be updated periodically.

That is way I read it, the appraisals ordered in November got the old rate, the ones ordered in December got the new rate.

Yes.

Atlanta told me today that only proposed construction with plans and specs still gets the $50. If they order it as existing, you are to wait until it is at buyer preference stage to do appraisal and do a final for buyer preference. I asked about the "under construction" line on the new fees and timelines flyer and they said that is when there is something like an addition or renovation and you would need and specs for that as well. They said this is effective after December 1, 2021.
