There is a wealth of information on this forum, better than some CE classes in my opinion. Spend some time looking through past threads and you will get a feel for the characters, insight, education and general feel.

Welcome to the jungle....As Mike had said, if you are looking for work, it would help if you identify your coverage areas...the only thing we know is that you are from Brooklyn...

It ain't pretty out there in any work related to residential lending. IMHO, finding a large firm with a diversified client base (commercial and residential) that does specialty work is the way to go right now.

Good luck!

Welcome, Its a tough market at this time. I wish I had good news for you, hang in there and best wishes.

my experiance is from shelter island through parts of jersey i have experiance with MLS...geo data...comps inc...propertyshark....ACI....acris...ect... i have not invested in my own ACI...geo data...or even purchased e and o insurance yet. im scared to invest right now...my budget is out of wack and i feel it might be a waste of money...joining a large firm or if there was someone with clients that wanted to partner up i would be motivated ...right now im all alone and its very tough

welcome. It is very rough going for most folks these days so you aren;t alone. Hang in there.

Yup, it's a jungle out there

Yes welcome certifiedINnys and congratulations on your recent certification. You are not alone, that's for sure. There's thousands of appraisers around here and few orders to go around and that's causing an oversupply imbalance of sorts to the residential crowd.

Check career builder, monster.com and the AI website. I though I saw some recent help wanted ads for appraisers in the NY area.
