You mean the ones obtained outside the law? What is scary about actually having law enforcement? Any concern for the hundreds of thousands of truck drivers and owners who bore the cost of actually abiding by the laws?35,000 peeps about to lose their commercial driver licenses total CA and NV within a few months. Scary work IMO.
I have a client whom I knew the president but last year he had a stroke and died a few weeks later. I would not recognize nor know a single lender there in all 4 of their branches nor do I know the girls who actually order the appraisals.'m losing the human connection where I was physically interacting with these individuals in person.
Yep - you are supposed to 'stay current' as it's termed in the aviation world. Typically that would involve a certain amount of time in a particular aircraft within a particular time frame, and a BFR (along with passing the medical). Even stricter for commercial pilots. I still have my license (don't carry it around), but lost my medical due to Grave's disease.as well they have to take CE in many states. In Virginia their CE is the honor system. They only have to provide evidence they have taken the necessary CE if requested by some entity. Most likely only if they were involved in a lawsuit or accused of malpractice. They are trusted but appraisers are not.....at least in VA.
Yeah, I don't think money is why appraisal licenses expire. College degree requirement is different animal.Driver licenses expire. And at the nominal licensing fees they charge it's not because of the money.
Most professional licenses expire in, typically, either a 2-year or 4-year cycle. The frequent renewal cycles is a source of revenue for states.. WRT continuing ed to stay current, imo every five years would suffice and make the content meaningful. But nobody at the decision-making level is asking us.Yeah, I don't think money is why appraisal licenses expire. College degree requirement is different animal.
i can't really put in time frame college degree requirement vs AMC explosion with major lenders like Citibank, etc.
However, I am totally convinced my girlfriend Joan Trice might want the college degree requirement removed in order to benefit appraisal management companies.
I don't have a problem with 2 year cycle in Tennessee. It makes me take more continuing education which is good. It also cost me $405 but when guy from Oregon said he paid like $700 for his license, it soothed my soul a little. Most professional licenses expire in, typically, either a 2-year or 4-year cycle.
