No elevator - Still complete?

JRS,
It's not per plans & specs. I like the closet idea - much better use of the space.

Off topic - Big surf coming! Look out! :rof:

An elevator can easily be added by cutting the floors out.
Say what? JRS keep in mind every market doesn’t have bottom feeders from Buxton with a circular saw and slightly used elevator motors sitting in the back of their pick-up. It’s no wonder homeowners polices triple when you cross the bridge at Manteo. :)

Mr. Rex I believe Floyd McKissock's showcase PUD near you had properties with a few elevators in it. Do know if they were finished when sold? If my memory is correct, Floyd got all the elevators and Uncle Sam got the shaft.

The most succesful endeavor in the PUD you describe is a prison (built in the last few years, not as part of the original concept:rof:. I'm sure Jesse took some solace to his grave that the return on taxpayers dollars is finally being returned. I'm sure you have seen my posts about a friend of mine in the 'bacco business using the installed water "mains" with dry hydrants for irrigation of his crops.:)

Rex from everything I’ve read and heard it would have been successful had it been smaller. McKissock was an interesting fellow and a visionary to turn his political views around 180 degrees the way he did. I don’t know whether he and Helms ever met, but I suspect they would have had shared some views which might have hurt them both politically had they been made public.

Latest rumors are that there may be a Nascar test track nearby, with fruits of the infrastructure form project in the past bearing fruit. Of course the county now has a community water system as a make up for being the PCB depository of the Ward Transformer debacle from the early 80s late 70s. Richard Childress grew up nearby in Middleburg (and shared a local mechanic, Frank Edwards with my 'bacco buddy's family until Childress was somebody). I used to work in a restaurant with Franks wife, the former mayor of Middleburg NC. In any case, its centrally located between I-85 and I-95 between DC and the snowbirds in NC,SC, GA, and FLA, so it may happen. Of course RR tied their future to Dolly Parton's brother in becoming the next Branson MI...

It's called the bridge tax. Everything gets more expensive once you cross that bridge.

JRS,

Oh great. It's hard enough getting anybody to return a phone call around here, but if the fish are biting or the surf is up, it's impossible. :rof:
