Nothing to See - Huge Cold Coming

My electricity cost for my Tesla is terrible. I might as well drive my big SUV. Electricity and Gas have gone up more than gasoline.
The tides come in and the tides go out. Just like the days of our lives, and fernando's left leanings tiding right.

I'm surprised our favorite poster hasn't chimed in yet with her "cherry-picked charts" and "RW hate" contribution.

I was hoping you give me insight to the drop in EV charge.

Every 3 day hot spell is a sign of global warming. But when record cold temperatures are forecast, it's just weather, or even sillier, it too is "proof" of global warming. In fact, the older climate models predicted warmer winters, not warmer summers. And that is what we had in the late 90s. Which is why the models mimicked the weather. Now, well, they changed.

Regardless we are going to see hundreds of new low temperatures set for the date in the coming few days, trust me. NOAA will declare February as "the warmest February on record."
Climate change is not only about weather - even though weather is a part of it. And many days and periods are the warmest on record lately even though it still snows and gets cold !! The two are possible since the earth and its systems are huge and complex !! Imagine that !

In your brain, since it still gets cold at times and still snows at times, the man-made impact of climate change and all its documented aspects are not real !! we get it, we really do.

Great science. So, prove it. The hottest decade recorded worldwide was the 1930s, period. The original models suggested that winters would be WARMER, not cooler. The geological record proves we've been much warmer before and much colder before. It's cyclical and not due to the cave man driving SUVs. Hurricanes are not more common. Forest fires peaked in the USA in the 1920s. We have fewer days over 100 now than we had in most of the 20th century. And, not one single climate model can be proven because it cannot be tested. Instead of spouting CNN piffle, try some real science with data driven charts.

I don't know what Fernando is crying about the cost of EV charging. Our Y uses a pittance in juice compared to filling up one of the ice vehicles, but we also installed the Tesla home charging station, which is less than sitting at a supercharger station.

There is no exchange of ideas with you; you just post the same kind of charts and the same arguments that you have been making for the past ten years. The evidence is all around us in the storm patterns and weather habitat loss, rapidly melting ice caps, etc. We get it - There has always been storms !! The climate is always changing!!!! !! Doh yeah , we get it - amazing factoid, the scientists get that too ! I'll take the studies by world-renowned scientists, the data from climatologists, and NASA over your opinion on it.

Even if twice cost using supercharge station, still doesn't make cents. Doesn't save as much money as I thought. Maybe have more imported EV cars at lower costs and better batteries. Need more competition in EV market.

Show me the data and not just some idiotic babble from a magazine or CNN. "Experts say" is not a science paper.

There is zero evidence that storm patterns differ markedly from the past 200 years. Habitat loss is not a function of weather, it is of land use. If the ice caps are "rapidly melting" then why is the Arctic still not navigable? Why has the NW Passage not opened up? It has been open in the past. Why are melting glaciers exposing old forests? Doesn't that mean it was warmer when those forests were growing?

Secondly, why is warming so bad? It increases greening, increases food production, reduced death due to cold (which far exceeds death from heat), and makes disease less prevalent. Not one computer model has predicted the temperature changes. Not one. All over-estimate it.
Most of those charts are from NOAA itself. When the Hunga Tonga Hunga volcano erupted below the sea in 2023, it caused billions of gallons of water to go into the atmosphere. Water vapor is the biggest green house gas. Temperature averages spiked up but quickly died as that moisture was released as rain over the coming months. Our temperature is now the same as it was in 1944.
